Anyone try catching flounder at night like you are going to gig them except tossing a gulp or a grub infront of them and enticing them to strike, kinda like fishing for bass on a bed? _________________ Salad, Salad, everywhere and not a bite to eat. |

Have not tried it, but I was thinking the same thing! Going to give it a go in the coming weeks for sure! _________________ I'd rather be fishing |

I've heard of people using short, stout fishing rods or even heavy cane poles. Basically you have a firm rod and a short bit of heavy mono or flouro and a hook. Live shrimp or live mudminnow, dangle off the bottom, and bang, lift em up quick before they can stir up the bottom and right into a 5 gallon bucket. I can imagine a lot of times they will be too scared to eat, but it sounds like it would be effective. _________________ ...if my boss ever finds this forum I'll be unemployed... |
