| I fish the Indianola or Powderhorn Lake area a lot. There are plenty of good spots around Victoria. |

I'm on a fishing lease( couple of Morgan buildings with generator and windmill) right across Charlie's between seadrift and port Occonor. I will be an expert on the shoalwater dewberry area in my kayak over next 12 months.. May get brave and go all way to pringle lake. One guy has a airboat so hopefully get in a duck hunt or two _________________ Take a kid fishing, best investment for them and our future of fishing. |

SeaDrift/San Antonio Bay seems to do better in the summer time (reefs, etc). POC area better in the winter with the grass flats and all that. If your boat runs shallow there are some decent back lakes on the South shoreline. Watch out in POC, lotta a-holes out there and it gets crowded on weekends.
edit: Just read you're launching at Charlie's, check out Steamboat Island area, not too far from you there. _________________ JJ |

I have fished with a guide (Kris Kelly ) in Sea Drift for 9 or 10 years . Have been all over the bays back lakes and reefs in the area.
Great area for all kinds of bay fish , lots of structure so if you have a boat you have to learn the area because of oyster reefs and such . |

I too have fished with Kris Kelly.
Yea I know the Steamboat area fairly well, I only have a kayak but a good friend is always waiting for a buddy to fish with and he has taught me a lot in his boat _________________ Take a kid fishing, best investment for them and our future of fishing. |

Hey I live in CC and will be moving to Victoria next year in May. I mostly kayak fish and I posted a thread about fishing in yaks over in that area. I have some leads and wouldn't mind tagging along with you over there. I fish in the Corpus area often, but I am new to this site.(mostly tkf) Let me know it you wanna meet up.

Port O is the best fishing on the coast!!! If you have a boat. It is like Port A in the 1970's. Not a fast food or a grocery store in the town, just a fancy gas station.
