Judging from the project description and drawings, it's an unfinished marina west of HWY 361. Fin & Feather is on the east side of the highway. _________________ The Trash Heap Has Spoken!

| It seems like it would be at Fin&Feather by Steadman Island, which to my way of thinking is the west side of 361. That pier at F&F didn't seem that long, so it would be quite an extension. |

Put it another way: the proposed new construction fronts on the Shrimp Channel/Channel to Aransas Pass at its intersection with Morris & Cummings Cut . Fin & Feather fronts on Morris & Cummings Cut on the other side of the highway. Look at the drawings. _________________ The Trash Heap Has Spoken!

| Sounds like the old hog island marina, which has already been razed. Federal funds from hurricane (Rita I think) reparations project were used to build serious bulkheads, boat ramp(s), and a really nice parking area. That project has been complete for a year or better, but the county has it blocked off to the public. They have signs up soliciting investors interested in further development. Doesn't seem right that our tax dollars were used to improve the site, but is restricted from public use. That being said, I' like to see a developer come in builda pier, and finish up the improvements, provided it is turned into a commercial enterprise that is open to the public. |
