I got a buddy coming in from North Texas and he wants to catch a shark. We have a boat and I just want to "hook him up", does anyone have any spots that we could do this? What kind of bait? We have plenty of offshore gear but I don't target sharks. Any help is greatly appreciated!!! _________________ Jeff...aka Boatman...361-729-9695 |

from a boat. get about 5-8 feet of 100 lb tooth proof, swivel on one end and hook on the other. put a nice 8-15" fresh bait on the hook and give it a go if they are up top. you could add some 8 oz weight to get it to the bottom fast if you need to. you can also use heavy mono for your leader (400-500lb) if the bait is fresh you never know what you might hook. could hook a big ling or even a grouper depending on location.
good luck. _________________ Chris Gonzales |
