I headed just outside the jetties yesterday with Cuda to see what was going on. We ended up with 3 bonita, a very small amber jack (I think) and seven smacks. We were both cut off on large kings. We were using our fly rods. Here's a little footage, but the action started after both of our GoPro's batteries died. I just ordered two more so hopefully It will resolve that problem. I captured a king in mid air at the end of the video. He was already on his way down and was every bit of 10 feet above the surface of the water. You can also see the unfortunate fish he hammered flying through the air as well.

I saw y'all yesterday offshore. I was paddling baits out in an orange kayak south of bob hall. Yall left my area pretty quick. Smooth move to because it was dead where I was.

Probably wasn't us. We didn't get south of the seawall. It really didn't turn on till around noon.

I had never seen a king get air like that before. If it was 10' it was 12' and he had some good hang time. cool stuff

Sweet video! Looking to try some saltwater flyfishing soon, will be a first for me. Were y'all sitting or standing in yaks?
