Does anyone have or know someone that is available to do some cutting of metal plate with a plasma machine. I need to get two drawings cut from some 1/4 inch plate and also need to have a another sheet cut for amy firebox ??

I live in portland , but work in corpus at the base. ??

Appreciate any info.

I've gotten by for the past 35 years in my welding shop with just a cutting torch. Of course I'm pretty good with one. CCAD sucks when it comes to doing outside work...first there are too many tattletails and if you could pay for it you could not afford their GOVT. rates. People just don't realize what they have here. When I used to work the pipeline it was whatever you needed out of the scrap pile.

Thanks for all replies, I think I found my source. Understanding all that We have at the Depot, ( I did not want to cross that line or even ask ) Nothing like big brother asking why I want a grill that hurts the environment, as I cook my fish or steaks. (LOL )

How much is your hourly rate for the Esab? Just asking. I like plasma cutters and lasers, water jets create too much waste .

I would consider "to many tattletails" an understatement my friend. Sometimes you cant turn a corner without someone trying to burn you...lol. As recently as 5 years ago, one might get away with doing side work. Always wished I knew someone at the plating shop, get some rims chrome plated...lol
