Launched the kayak just before sunrise yesterday, near packery channel park and headed north. Unfortunately the stringer would remain empty this trip, but I the fish did keep me busy. Landed maybe 10 throwback trout, one undersize red, skipjacks. and a couple i need a little help with the I.D
This one here im pretty sure is either a dog fish or scorpion but havnt seen enough of them to know
And this one looks to be a snapper, but not sure, im sure yall will know.. but caught two of these in the channel
After i finished up on the yak i decided to drive of the jetties to check it out water looked great so i headed in got my boat and after a few hours of waiting on my buddies headed off shore, didnt do much, hit a close rig landed a few triggers with one monster, and one red snapper, i trolled ribbons but nothing.. maybe next time _________________

You should have kept the bottom one as it is a mangrove snapper
The top is a searobin not sure which one _________________ Like Corpusfishing.com on Facebook! |

| Nice variety. The first is a searobin, probably the bighead searobin (Prionotus tribulus) and the second is a mangrove (grey) snapper. |

I can vouch. It wasn't "great" but still pretty darn good. Thanks for the pics. _________________ "Ya'll must eat a lot of fish" |
