He'll probably have to sell his boat to pay the fine. Would have been a lot cheaper to got to HEB and buy some decent fish. Lake Austin fish are loaded with bad stuff. _________________ E Pluribus Unum |

For all of us who follow the law, some guy just has to screw it up. Sad. _________________ JJ |

Des that common sense isn't so common. One thing to break the law. Another to show and tell everyone that you did it. Wow!
I did laugh about the catch and release part and showed the guy just underhand tossing that bass back like it was a horseshoe. Lmao _________________ Hey man they ain't bitin!! Well "Grab a beer!" |

The same type of moron who shoots an eagle and then brags to his buds at the bar about it, I'm GLAD hew got busted! Sadly, Leopards don't often change their spots, ans this one will likely not either. _________________ Dave

I'll never understand why people brag about breaking the law being over the limit. Seen it a few times in person as well. Few years ago camping at Matagorda Island with other duck hunters some young guy starts telling a story about killing around 40 wood ducks with his buddy, then thinking they had way too many and dumping 20 of them in the grass, which according to him was a good thing because they were checked by the warden when they got to the ramp and got tickets for everything over the limit that they still had. There were about 10 of us standing around in a circle, everyone just kinda stared at him until he walked away. _________________ JJ |

Honestly it was awkward for everyone and we all just kinda broke up and called it a night after that. Nobody really said anything except one guy mumbled that it didn't sound like he learned his lesson. I've learned duck hunting though that a lot of people try and make their own rules, seen old timers using lead shot, seen plenty of Mottled ducks fall from the sky during Teal season, seen people come in with a limit of "Mallard Hens" complaining that there were never any drakes (they were all Mottled Ducks). If it wasn't so ridiculous it would be funny, dunno whether to laugh or cry. The guy with the "Mallard Hens" just didn't know any better, he presented them directly to the TPWD guy at checkout. _________________ JJ |
