I think it is just a change in terminology. Go to their website and look at the freshwater Skitterwalk - it is 3 1/8" long. Compare that to the saltwater Skitterwalk, which is 4 3/8"long. Those are the dimensions of the former Skitterwalk Jr. (a freshwater bait all along) and the Skitterwalk, a longer bait with ss hooks. I know I just bought 4-5 of the smaller Skitterwalks not long ago at Academy in San Antonio - tremendous redfish topwaters.

I use the baby skitterwalks too. I pick up mine in the bass fishing aisle at Academy.

skitterwalk,,, never knew the name of them...I use them from bass when they feed on schools of shad.

SALTWATER Q:
How do you guys work this lure,,, zig zag by poping your rod tip,,,,a steady constant action or change the motion ??????

tick tick tick tick tick tick tick ... all the way back to the boat.

I just vary the speeds from tick tick tick to tick....... tick....... tick.....until I get them hitting it. I will also stop and pause over potholes to entice a strike.

A wise guide once told me...

I move my topwaters as much as possible without moving my topwaters..

WTH??? You think.... He meant he tries to keep the lure "walkin" back in forth constantly without actually reeling the lure back to the him.
