Went sbh just south of the bowl. Water looked great, nice color, very clear. Still a good amount of weed, made long lines trying but not impossible. Whiting were thick, so I filled up a walmart bag with em for cutbait next time.
Met a guy walkin along the wade gut. He and his buddies had been sightcasting to. Drum in the gut and got a few. Lots of minnows there too.

Thanks for the report! I think I'm gonna try the surf for first time in a LONG time myself tomorrow morning. I'm thinking of hitting Mustang Island Park though. Anyone been there recently? How is the driving? I dont have a 4x4.
