I drive a Nissan pro 4x4 in Galaxy black. The Rockford fosgate rocks. Mine is an 08 just paid it off with 30,000 on the od. Been a good truck and I have pulled alot of fords out of the stuck posisition. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

| I have a 2001 F-150 (115K miles) with a 5.8 V8 (17.9 mpg) and have been looking at everything out there. IMO the Ford Ecoboost, although it gives a lot of bang for a 6 doesn't give enough in return to justify the additional cost (but, if you can find a dealer vehicle...). This truck has been extremely reliable and should go another 100K. For what it's worth and the previous being said, my next truck will be a F-150 |

What is a Nissan Pro? Is that a model of the Titan or some other model?

| I say go with the F-150 ecoboost. Most cab space in it's class, most pulling power with 11,200 lbs. and top selling full size pickup for 34 years running. Just got a Platinum with an ecoboost and it's awesome. |

I am semi in the market for a new truck as well, but am in no rush. My plan is to wait until the new f150 body style or to wait until the Big Three start getting into a discount battle. Right now trucks are selling pretty well and the incentives aren't that great, compared to what they have been. Always a gamble though... _________________

I can't afford the Eco Boost V-6.
I have a line on a Nissan Titan Pro4x in Red for $29k.
I have a friend who can get me Z plan pricing on a Ford XLT 4x4 with the 5.0, and it is pretty cush. Completely different truck than the Nissan, which has a stiffer, though not harsh ride.
Even with the employee pricing, it will come in around the cost of the Nissan.
The Nissan has a locking rear diff, the Ford does not offer it.
The Ford has a much bigger cabin.
After driving both, it's a tough decision.....
FYI - it was going to be a Ram 1500, with the Hemi, but the salesguy tried to pull some last minute price inflation, taking the truck from under $30k to $34k. I walked out of the dealership when they laid the price down in front of me. Completely lied. Boerne Dodge/Jeep/Chrsyler is on my $hit list now. Freaking liars! |

After driving the two, I can see why you pulled people out on a regular basis. Definetly built for offroad - and for not getting stuck. |

So I got a couple PM's aksing what happend to the Durango. On the way back from Corpus last Sunday afternoon, the radiator cracked (well that likely happend on PINS) and the coolant leaded out, causing her to overheat. Within 2 miles of noticing her overheating I was pulled over and stopped but it was too late, the damage was done - blown head gasket, warped heads, bent piston rods, broken timing chain.
The worst part was having my wife, kid and dog in the 100 degree heat on the sdie of I-37 in the middle of now where waiting for a tow truck.
People drive way to close to broken down vehicles. |
