these websites are places people tend to vent their frustrations on, sometimes its constructive and other times not..
most people have some personal issues they need to work on(i know i do), instead of putting their pain or anger on others..the actions you make everyday affect those you love...make sure the way you effect others in your personal life is positive
its about living in peace, and being able to be truly happy without caring what other think, say, or do..
you are not gonna get extra karma points or change the world..however you can change yourself, your family, and perhaps a few others along the way
its about getting back to the truly important things in life..and shrugging off the ones who try to hold you down..
its about showing love, compassion, and forgiveness even to those who don't deserve it |
Agreed ! The effects of right actions are quite local and work slowly.
Thanks for the pep talk -- I'm feeling worn down by the general degradation of ethics and sportsmanship I see everyday.
It seems that the ever increasing numbers of those who do not give a crap are far out numbering those who do.
It is difficult to "forget about the others" when their actions are actually preventing you from doing the things you love.
I do see hope in guys like you who are trying to do the right thing -- more power to you! _________________ Run the Flats----Ruin the Flats |

it is his job to know abide and call the correct authorities to enforce the laws..
he does a damn good job by the way..
i already told you they changed the law, i am beginning to wonder if you even read the posts you try to discredit..
why are you trying to find a reason to run close to Bob Hall anyway? is it something you do regularly? if not then why try to fight on a internet board about it?
seriously man pick your battles
like i said i will post current regulation regarding this matter..(this isnt even that thread by the way).. congratulate flounder daddy on his awesome day on the water or keep your negative comments to yourself
peace, love, and light to you my friend _________________ http://www.youtube.com/user/Shark456Bait/featured

Very passionate views here. Just did a quick google.com word count of this Thread and it ranked 6th all time at corpusfishing.com at 1,645,349 (raw word count).
Passionate people with a spin....keep it up!!
Not sure if all this is true, but I've heard if it's on the internet...its true. _________________

Everywhere I've fished these disrespectful boaters seem to find me. Yall think it's bad down there try heading up to Port O'Connor and fishing with the Houston crowd. Good grief that crew is a mess. I don't catch fish either way so I don't care but would be nice to relax for once instead of being pissed off. Unfortunately I'm stuck being a weekend warrior from out of town, so I don't have the luxury of avoiding the other idiot weekend warriors from out of town (LOL) and fishing during the week.
As for running them down and yelling at them, 9 times out of 10 won't be a problem and you might actually teach them a thing or two but run into the wrong crew and you'll be sorry. Think about it, the people who truly don't give a poo poo about cutting off your drift or acting a fool on the water are the same ones who probably don't give a poo poo about whipping some supple bum out there as well. _________________ JJ |

They all drive those damn skinny water $60k boats, so when they cut off my drift and I try to chase them down I get stuck!
Then they laugh at me. _________________ JJ |

a long time ago, a smart man said that "God made enough room in Texas for everybody, but only enough water to fight over".
apperantly this applies to saltwater, too. _________________ the creepy uncle that scares the kids.... |

I got about half way through the thread until I realized all the anger in it. I agree with the author though. When I was in Iraq, and someone cut us off, WE SHOT AT THEM! Not saying it's the right thing to do here in the states. But people do have a lack of respect these days. I'm only 28 at that, and I sound like an old man. But, people tailgate, cutoff, drive dangerously, cut in line, and theft is more rampant than ever. If I had my way, all of us combat vets should have the right to execute people um....... deemed undesirable. haha. Seriously though, people are $$$holios. It's as simple as that. I always give someone a piece of my mind when stuff like that happens to me. But it just so happens I always have a weapon on me. So I feel sorry for that guy who did wrong, and then didn't like what I have to say about it. Smiley Face! _________________ Not much motion in the ocean...but hey, I'm the captain! |
