OK...in the last week, I've seen the following threads:

Fisherman robbed

Murder behind fin and Feather

Shots Fired.

WTH is the matter with people that they can't just leave others alone?

Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce should be getting worried. One or two killings in the news can really hurt tourism - one of Corpus' bug money makers. In this economy, a 10% drop in tourism can put many business' under.

A liitle over-stated on SA stats--that would beat Detroit...just saying:-)

Austin; Murders = 23, Rate Per 100,000 = 3.1
Dallas; Murders = 170, Rate Per 100,000 = 13.3
El Paso; Murders = 17, Rate Per 100,000 = 2.8
Fort Worth; Murders = 49, Rate Per 100,000 = 7
Houston; Murders = 294, Rate Per 100,000 = 13.1
San Antonio; Murders = 116, Rate Per 100,000 = 8.6

And by the way, CC has a 5.6 rate per 100,000

it may be 4 shootings a night now that i think about it...i talked to the police chief personally about it..its part of the reason no bullet forensics were ever done in the shooting i was involved in there
basically you got to die if you want them to really look into a shooting in SA

The aransas girl will eventually be explained as a domestic case and we'll see on the other girls but to me that doesnt mean i'll avoid the aransas area and won't make me feel like they have a town full of murderers.
