Looks like a mangrove snapper to me. But I am not an expert in such things. Probably has too many fin spines or something.

Tyler and I are still waiting for you to take the bait and expose my response to rabbit's thread last week on PINS Recognition. beachbum & FIDO thought it was all original. Posted same to the C-T website and nobody caught on there, either.

I must have missed it. I was out of sorts most of last week. I always enjoy your POV.

TH, my reply of "amen brother" was purely an acknowledgement that I'd rather see "seaweed" than tourists......................... It's the same reason that I deer hunt with a bow instead of a gun; I'd rather see and be in the woods in whatever natural condition presents itself than be constantly harangued and bothered by orange clad humanity!

No hijacking was or is intended by my answer, and of course it's a mangrove snapper! Cool Wink As I told FIDO recently in a PM: Nothing good comes from cooking either snapper or tuna. IMHO, they both taste their absolute best raw and go down hill rapidly in flavor and up in "fishiness" (think salmon) with increased heating!!!! Embarassed Then again, some people love salmon..............................

hah It could be the most parodied quote of all time. Your version is great. I like the way you made it about PINS. We should have a Napalm in the morning thread where we could apply it to just about anything. I'll start:

I love the smell of beer in the morning. You know, one time we had a house filled, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I woke up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one dern empty can. The smell, you know that yeasty aroma, the whole place. Smelled like [sniffing, pondering] Fun. Someday this youth is gonna end...

Oh BTW, nice Mangrove.
