In Florida Spanish Mackerel are not a gamefish and a great bait for kings and zharks. But for some odd reason they are a gamefish in texas. Makes no sense to me....its not like there is a shortage of Spanish anywhere. Thier are millions of them. Blue Fish are bassically the same and not a game fish. But rules are rules. Oh well plenty of other baits to use I.E. blue fish, blue runners, shad, skipjack, perch and lures. _________________ D. Askew |

Johntx14 you weren't driving down pins Saturday evening were you? Some people stopped as I was fighting a blacktip. One guy asked what I was using which was sheepshead. I'm just curious if it was you or not. I've heard of people using them as bait so I paddled one out I caught earlier and about 30 minutes later I was hooked onto a 5'6" blacktip. _________________ Rick
