I made a photo/video of the game harvested on our 50 acres from the hunting season. Neighbors shoot everything, so in spite of our efforts the deer don't have a chance to get too big. I tried to do all my hunting with the bow, but was weak once.

Is that your property? Just wondering where the other deer came from with the relatives when the graphics said two culls etc. Those are nice. I liked the gray wire haired hog too! _________________ Like Corpusfishing.com on Facebook! |

The property belongs to my wife's family. The understood agreement is that each hunter is allowed one nice deer and then a couple of culls if desired. I eat a lot of venison so I also shoot some culls/spikes for meat. When I take the kids, I try to set them up to get a spike or cull, but they can shoot any buck. The rules aren't hard and fast, but I try to keep the family happy.
I like that hog, too. We have had a bigger variety of hogs this year than I've ever seen. All colors sizes and shapes.
Our 50 acres backs up to several thousand unhunted acres, so we never know what bucks will show. We have resident does but not bucks, so we take good care of the girls and anxiously await the rut every year. |
