As of 4PM today, after 32 years in education, my wife is officially retired. Now there is no more lying about how infrequently or frequently I am fishing.lol. Really though, after years of being an Asst. Prin. in a high school and dealing with discipline, and irrational parents, she deserves her time off. Congrats Mary!

She deserves a medal and our admiration. I'll bet she could write a bestseller on how the educational system has changed over the course of her career. My guess is the chapter on how it has gotten better will be the shortest. Please extend congratulations and thanks from a fellow fisherman.

Congratulations to Mrs. Zia!!! I went to a retirement party for one of my employees last night. My wife and I discussed how envious we were of her. Only 25 more years for me.... Crying or Very sad

Congrats got out of the system a couple of years back. She will never know how she had time work. But on the down side your honey do list will grow and grow. So fish as much as can I got to fish more before my wife retired. Crying or Very sad

Congratulations. Retirement is a step into another sector of life after a long journey to get there. I look foward to it, I have planned for it, I have worked hard for it as many have before me. I have 12-15 years left although I could go in 5 years. I wish both of you the best in your retirement years, Go get out there and have some fun. Cheers, IMS.

Congrats to her. My wife has put in her time and can retire when ever she wants. When she does I will be forced to take her fishing more often. A job that I am not looking forward to. (Yea Right!)

I had Mary read all the posts and she says thanks. We're looking at spending a lot more time in NM now. Nothing permanent, but taking advantage of our home there on a more frequent basis.

The more she spends 24/7 with me, she might find that kids and parents aren't too bad after all.

Congrats to Mary on her retirement. It's well deserved being in the school system these days.
I hope your wife loves to fish or your fishing day's will be replaced with a long honey do list.
Best wishes to both of you. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
