...then I saw there was a front coming and tomorrow's high is 59, followed by the weekend when I hardly fish, I decided to give it a shot for an hour or so. Went out about 8:30 and fished different areas around Pita from what I fished yesterday. Still mainly used red/white soft plastics but also used a motor oil color plastic that is a more durable bait than what I was using.

Wasn't catching as many fish as yesterday. In the first hour I only got 15 trout and a small flounder, but there were 3 keepers in the bunch. Better ratio than yesterday. One of the trout was a 24", yellow mouthed, head shaking, tail walking, sow. She was fun. Hopefully some other day she will give someone else the same rush I had while catching her.

The last 30 min. I was out I hit the same spot as yesterday to see if it was any different. The answer is no. Still a gazillion dinks.

Is this typical for this time of year? I went out on my boat two wknds ago and we caught dinks galore on live shrimp, I tried plastics too but didn't get anything! one of the guys that went on my boat was a novice (like I'm any better) and had a blast while catching so many 14 3/4" trout! It was fun catching them tho. I think we managed 3 keeper trout out of a QT of live shrimp.

This is the most undersized fish I've encountered.
