Left Austin Friday afternoon got to sbh and set up camp about a mile or so down. Tossed some fishbites in and caught some whiting then used that and fishbites with no takers. Decided to call it quits around midnight so I could get an early start Saturday.

Woke up nice and early at 5:30 and starting again with cut whiting and fishbites. The whiting kept rolling in at various sizes but no takers on the cut bait. Searched up and down the beach for bait but couldn't find any. By the time I got back to camp the sun was coming up so I paddled out some whole whiting passed the third bar to find some shark. The surf was kinda rough at that time.

Nothing really happened for a while and paddled out another bait around 2 and the water was much rougher. Shortly after I started to really feel the effects of red tide and pulled camp around 6.

Spent the next morning at bob hall where the red tide wasn't bad past the second sand bar. Heard of and saw at least 3 bull reds taken. Later in the morning they guy next to me takes 3 pomps before I left. Saw a couple Spanish macs including a 19 incher I caught off frozen mullet. Left shortly after the mac so not sure how the rest of the day went.

All in all wasn't too bad of a trip but would have been a lot better if the rt didn't show back up.

X2, fished at the N. sticks sat and could only take it (RT) till about 3. No bait. no fish. Just one bull caught by my partner.
Water cool enough for me to put waders on to.
