Does anyone have and use them? I think Sapo may have one. If you have one please give us a review. Is it wide enough to do a packer brisket? _________________ Like Corpusfishing.com on Facebook! |

Tyler ,
You need to quit messing around with those small smokers and breakdown and get a pit from Hardy like Chef Lefty has and I just bought.
I have been using mine in the few months that I have had it and it works great. |

LOL! I know I have to head the wife off at the pass before she buys me (she wants one) one of those ceramic eggs for my birthday next month. They aren't cheap and they don't look to be big enough to do a big brisket _________________ Like Corpusfishing.com on Facebook! |

My brother in CA got the big Green Egg for his 50th birthday last year from his wife. It will do 2-3 briskets at one time. With that said, at least as the Green Egg goes, there are different sizes. Also a bunch of other bells and whistles to choose from.
Break out the wallet.
I really like fairhunt's suggestion. Let me know if you need Hardy's cell phone number. _________________

I'm not answering your ? But...... I didn't even know what a G.E. was till I saw this post! I googled the heck out of it and discovered a few dealers in town, from the reviews and the youtube vids it sounds like a gnarly set up! Then I googly-googled the price and got sticker shocked! Womp Womp, I guess I won't be getting any one of those anytime soon! I'll put it on the X-mas list with the Power Pole, Yetti cooler,Garmin 740s, T-top, polling platform, Rip tide Trolling Motor, etc, etc, etc........
On a lighter positive note if you do get one I'll be happy to try out some of your Dove Kababs, for free! Lol _________________ I wasn't born in the Bluff but I got here as fast as I could! |

If you add one of these to the egg it almost becomes a set and forget for long smokes.

I have a grill dome and it is barely big enough for a 10 pound brisket.

Have you looked at the Primo Grill Oval XL?
If I had a do-over I would get the Oval XL:

I have cooked on them and they work wonders. They just cost an arm and a leg. I cook on UDS's "ugly drum smoker". I have won many a cook-off with them and they cost me less than $100. The xl BGE will run over $1000. They cook about the same. _________________ Give a Man a Fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a Man to Fish and he will sit in a boat And drink Beer all day.
