Driving good at low tide, slower at high and bumpy coming in. Water was muddy on the north end and less muddy south with best water only 6 inches of visibilty or less. It got worse south of the 55 and it wasn't very good in between. Fished lures all day, no trout and one redfish. There are lots if shells stirred up south of the 45 between there and the 49 it looks like it usually does near the 55. I mean tons of shells and fossilized mud. Beware of some unusual metal objects around as well.
It was nice to get out and finally see some sunshine. |

Yeah, I made it to the beach as well, but I had to do something different. I observed our volunteers doing a necropsy on an adult bottlenose dolphin.
Water was kayakable, but off color. Knowing the water temperature, I figured shark fishing would be slow.
Trey, see anyone catching pomps? _________________ FISH ON!!,

I only saw two non park service vehicles. One was an old rusty van that gave me the heebie jeebies and a Z-71 from Manitoba. The rangers came and busted the van at Mansfield and those were the only folks we saw except for some guy near the 18 sleeping in his chair and he didn't have his fishing rod out as we drove in. |

Last time I saw him on the beach, he actually had a fold out beach chair and a tarp for shade. He moved up in the world. _________________ FISH ON!!,
