| Looks like the winds are down to nothing on Thursday and thru Friday. Gonna give it a shot. Think it will be worth it? |

There has been times on pins when its too calm. Fish are there they just dont want to hit, too skittish. We have fished in 30 mile hr winds and slayed red fish before. Its hard to go by the wind, I'll take a windless day while kayaking anytime. |

I have had more success on breezy days. Not too much wind, but not calm either.
If too calm, the fish are skittish, like mentioned already. But if too windy, you just can't cast very far. _________________ GOBZA!!!

| Well, I gave it a shot Tuesday evening after work. Man did it suck. water was nice and waves were not a factor at all, probably a couple of feet. Netted mullet and some trash bait fish. No takers in the short amount of time you can keep a line in the water without a 10 pound mound of weed on it. Tossed top waters and soft plastics, spoons and a spoon'r out to the birds, nothing. NOTHING! Just a little early I guess. |

One is not likely to catch much when it is calm with no wind. The fish are spooky. They can see Ya too.
I once waded around the edge of Traylor Island when the wind was dead calm, water gin clear, redfish swimming all around me, looking at em' and absolutely no hits. _________________ Pinsbeach
