Navionics (US Central) is a great GPS chartplotter. It can do most of the same things a high end GPS can do. Its $15, but thats cheap compared to a similar dedicated GPS.
Marine Weather by Bluefin is good.
WindGuru
I also use a bunch of websites like Weather Underground, Ripcharts (subscription only), NOAA, etc. The good thing is that because it can play flash stuff it will work fine on some of the animated stuff (unlike the iphone).
This is good for wave models.

Weatherbug for the Droid is pretty good. It is the only one I have found that gives pressure, although I am going to research some of the others mentioned here.
Good post, good question. _________________

| this may be a dumb question but some of the people i've fished with over the years talked about majors and minors and of course the fishing always got better when 1 of them hit. i haven't found any apps that lists those. what are majors and minors based off of? i'm guessing barometric pressure but i honestly have no idea and i know majors are good because the fishing always got better but are minors good or bad? |

TideApp is pretty good (it just uses NOAA tide tables from what I can tell).
Magic Sea Weed Surf Forecast is good for surf fishing/offshore.
Marine Weather by Bluefin will give weather forecasts, live station data, tide predictions, radar and sea surface temps. |

consistancy on the water is the biggest help . The more you you fish the more you learn . I read alot of books and saltwater magazines. You may not use everything you read but you do pick up a tip here and there. Ask questions just like you are doing here. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |
