Fiddler crabs are best when fishing around rocks and piling when they congrgate there in the winter. During the summer, I like to sight-cast for them in the flats with live shrimp under a clear bubble cork.

Interesting on Johnny's piece on the flats. I ran across a large school of giant Sheeps on the flats back in Alazon Bay one time in about 18 inches of water. I was looking for Reds and was amazed at what I was seeing. I was already rigged up with a bubble for Reds so I let it rip. It was a blast but something I have not seen since. There was probably 100 fish in the school and they were all huge! Sightcasting to Sheepshead, who would have thunk it!!
