I've never been flounder gigging before, but after a bit of reluctance and many persuasive co-workers who say they love it, I've decided that I'm going try my hand at it. I'd like to first try it in some areas between Portland and Ingleside since that's where I live and would be easiest for me to get to. Can anyone recommend some good places in these areas that don't require a 4x4 to get to? I have a truck with limited slip but no 4x4. I've got my gear and a fishing license and I'm really looking forward to trying this! Very Happy

Thanks so much,

Wes

Yep, no gigging in November. Reason I'm asking right now is because I'm trying to get in a short trip this weekend. They say this cold front may have brought them in!!! Smile

Thanks,

Wes

I thought that Nov cold sends them out on their annual migration. Fishing the Packery Channel for Flounder may be the best all year at this time.

Don't know about Portland/Ingleside....I cut my teeth giggin in Wilson's Cut and some area along the highway from A-Pass to Port A. Haven't really done any gigging in a while but the last few times I went it seems there were alot more people doing the same in those areas. I imagine Fish Pass would be a good place if you were willing to leave your truck behind and out of sight for a good walk.
