Does anyone know who to contact with the city to see if they are planning to spray for Misquotes...when and where? Swarms and Swarms out here in the Bluff. Sad

Thanks for the link. Here is a more focused link where you can actually type your your street name and it gives you your route number. From there, you can read the streaming banner across the top of the page that tells you where the treatment area for the evening will be.

http://www.cctexas.com/Health/MosquitoSchedule/MosquitoSchedSearch.cfm

Vector Control will be treating Area 9-Routes 27 and 29, Area 10-Routes 30, 31 and 32 tonight.

They were sprating on Waldron last night around 10:30 near O'reilly's. We left the house for about a half an hour and the back door wasn't shut all the way so our dog decided to push it open. We literally had hundreds in the house when we returned. Shocked

there were at least 2 mid twenty sumthin looking trout in my light in the canal last night. And i couldnt stand to give more than 3 casts because the skeeters were so bad. Tonight after spraying I will attempt my revenge.

Bummer. Hopefully they won't multiply in the house. I am waiting on the sound and smell of the foggers.

This is an example from youtube. No idea why there is a picture of a girl in the background.

This works, Trust me. Smile When my 10 year old comes in complaining about itching, she knows to hit the hair dryer. It says "trick your brain" but what you are doing is actually drying out the histamines deposited by these libera......rrrrrrrrr....I mean blood sucking mosquitos...

Skeeters SUCK...................... literally!!! We have them really bad at times up here too. I don't call the city until they get REALLY bad because when you spray for skeeters, you're also killing many beneficial insects like honey bees, praying mantis, lady bugs, wasps of many kinds (they kill spiders, catapillars etc.) butterflies, etc.

I'm no environmentalist whacko y'all, just food for thought. Wink

i know this won't help for long term, but you guys fishing your canals and stuff close to home, go to Academy and buy a Thermacel, put it on your belt loop and enjoy your fishing...

you can thank me later with GPS cords to your honey holes. Razz

but seriously, go get a Thermacell.

I found Cutter to be very effective around the house. I can literally stand in my yard and the neighbors and there is a huge difference. It is best to spray after mowing. One down side, when it rains, it dilutes fast.

Another thing that works pretty good is to tape dryer sheets next to your entry/exit doors.

One more, if the daddy, long legs build webs around the house or even in garage, let them be as they catch a lot of the mosquitos.
