Its been very muddy and choppy. Not a bite on shrimp/squid on the surf.

I agree with videowest. Water was very churned but cleared around the 4rth and 5th bar. I did manage to catch a couple of rat reds that were released to grow up, a couple of sail catfish, a few whiting, a few baby sharpnose shark, and a few thousand hard heads.

Driving is still pretty bumpy at high tide, but low tide is no problem.

Yea, driving was pretty damn miserable. After about the 15 it was seriously deep sand and the ruts were just about unbearable to drive in at anything over 10mph. Pulled 3 trucks out of the sand while I was down, one guy twice in about a 10 minute period. Turns out his 4x4 lifted diesel Excursion with 40 inch mud tires had a 4x4 problem. Nice truck though, but just a big heavy two wheel drive truck, hope he got out ok.

Got 3 big rays between the two of us, several embarrassingly small hard heads and one rat red. Finally caught some mullet in the surf but it was already time to go. Skunked again......
