A couple weekends ago I was fishing nighthawk and there were a lot of boats that were fishing the east shoreline, the next weekend nobody was and we had horrible luck. Did they know something that I didnt know? I guess my question really is do the tides have any effect on the fish in a bay like nighthawk? I heard of fish leaving shallow water on outgoing tide, and migrating in the shallows on incoming tide. But is nighthawk included in "shallow" water? Do the fish move in and out of a bay like that?
Thank you fellas

I would say Night Hawk in considered shallow water.. The fish do move with the tides but more important is the bait the fish feed on move... Look for channels and pinch points were bait go through when tides are moving.
