My two friends and I fished Mustang and Packery beaches thursday and friday using mostly cut and whole finger mullet, with some unproductive plugging also. Thursday was a lot tougher as we stayed closer to packery and the weed was fishable, but made you work for it. Friday we moved north of fish pass and the weed was considerably better. We landed 20+ sharks, lots of hardheads, a few small reds, and 6 big gafftop. The sharks were mainly sandbar with a few blacktips. Biggest went 29inches, most were 18 to 22. It was a lot of fun feeling a tug on my lines in the surf. Don't know about most of you, but the seaweed has ruined it for me for too long. Maybe it's almost over.

I hear ya. As the winds start to lay into Aug should help a bunch for less seaweed. Glad you got something, last weekend we couldnt even keep a line out it was thick.
