No shock there friend: Nobody on his team has any experience running ANYTHING except protests, parties and political campaigns...Hillary included!

It's no small surprise that an inept and totally inexperienced team can't run a small business successfully, let alone the White House and the government!

What a freaking joke............................................ but the joke's on US!!!! Embarassed

over the past 10 years going to the beach and staying in the hotels and condos in Port A and CC, ALL of them have a shower and foot washing station outside for tar that they ask you to use before entering the rooms so this is not a new thing.

I agree that those on the coast are more in tune to looking for tar these days because it is top of mind. Reminds me of when I was pregnant, it seemed that all I saw in advertisements in the paper and such were diapers and cribs and the things I would need, but it was just cuz that's where my head was at the time.

That commission is an F'n joke!!

I recall seeing a stat on the current admin. They have around 70% on staff that have never been in private industry; the majority of his appointees are professional politicians . . . all obama does is continue typical Chicago dirty politics. Cronyism at its best. His proportion of political cronies is at an all time high, among all preseidents.

His tactics have been well documented.

As to the spill I think he could care less about the root cause of the spill, but is keenly interested in making sure he takes advantage of the crisis to push his costly 'reforms.' Shoot, that was made clear in his recent address. It was disgusting that he spent as more time pushing Cape and Fade than talking about containment and remediation.

Very sad.

Back on topic, it seems to me that *any* tar on our beach is bad. But if we today start seeing Deepwater Horizon tarballs from 400 miles away, I'd be shocked. Shocked

I spent Saturday around Yarborough pass and saw small tar blobs in the water in quantities about the same as before the spill. The oil is also fairly congealed. Even smashing the blobs didn't stain my fingers, so they're likely old.

...nothing new here, yet folks.

Sadly, for now it appears that BP opened the door to hell and can't get it shut.

tell it to my truck... from June 11-14 we played between the 42mm and the jetties... I picked up a big blob of fresh stuff... coal black with the consistency of grease... not hard or sticky like all the tarballs I have experienced in the past... it got all over tire, wheel well, fender and driver's door... appeared to have come from one single "glob"... I know it didn't come from the BP spill but it definitely isn't some tar ball that was laying on the beach for years

I was only at the 15mm as I claimed and can only report for that area. Thank you for the update farther south.

found the culprit... this blob was marked last weekend in the mid-40's... have never seen one like this but I am pretty sure it is the same stuff that I drove over several weeks back...

Frayed,
My best friend from high school days passed away last year. He told me once that the ONLY thing any of the political persuasion that shall not be mentioned Senators are qualified to do is to pass the bar exam. Check it out. You will find that less than a handful of them have done much of anything except get a law degree and be professional politicians. No experience in business or industry.
