If you wanted to go out for a quick afternoon wade from shore where would you go? I keep missing out on the weekends and only seem to have the afternoons to get out. Not really enough time to mess with the boat and don't have a kayak.

Where are you coming from. We use to wade the shoreline next to Indian Point Pier and did well. Live shrimp under a popping cork, gold spoons.

I live in Corpus. I used to wade around IP Pier as a kid with my dad but with this wind I'm thinking that area would be too rough.

where i waded yesterday was a good spot the wind was blocked off by the bridge and it was not that bad... we were on the north side of the oso bridge when we were south of the bridge and throwing into the wind it was not fun ... but that bridge blocked the wind and the water had 80 percent less chop than the other side... the rocks suck but once u get past them its hard sandy bottom ... feet dont sink in at all..

Sounds good I appreciate it. I hear quite a bit of wading reports around packery bridge. How is that area on the Port A side of the bridge. Lots of back area flats. i have noticed kayaks back there but how about wading? Can you wade back in there and find fish?????

There will be plenty of water in the flats this afternoon. you can see parking areas once you pass the Packery channel bridge on your left. 1852 pass is a good area. You can wade a large area of water with few boats able to fish that area.

Indian Point would be really easy for you get to and wade. I've indicated the places to park. Most of the bottom in this area is sand. If you try to wade north of here in Nueces Bay, you will encounter mud in many places.

If you want other places to wade, go to my website and download 3 files that have almost 20 places to wade or launch a kayak.
