Bushnell ONIX 400 GPS with XM NEXRAD Weather. Sweet. You can overlay google maps of any location in the world. _________________

I have used a handheld Garmin 12 for over 10 years and really like it. The rubber seal did turn soft and I finally had to scrape it off to keep the black rubber seal from getting on everything it touched. I was afraid I was going to get the inside wet and ruin it so I just bought their newest most similar version, the Garmin 72H. I hope to transfer most of the spots to the 72H while the 12 is still working. I ordered it through Sears in Corpus last Friday and it was at my door this Wednesday.($149.00 + shipping, tax and quicker than the slowest shipping came to $173.94) I have not figured it all out yet but I think I am going to like it. I only use mine for missing obstructions in Nueces and going to reefs, straight line course. I use to use it offshore for finding wrecks I have the numbers to and I always seem to be right there when it read 0.00. |

| I have the Garmin Oregon 400c and it is one sweet unit. Can add satallite images which is awsome. A bit pricey but if you look online you can save a couple hundred $$ |

Dude, the El Cheapo Garmin Etrec does everything that I want for $98. Very intuitive, and that's coming from someone who's never even bothered reading the whole manual, which is nicely thin! _________________ Dave

| I have owned 3 Garmin Etrex. I love that little yellow thing. I abuse them and they fail after a few years but they are easy, effective and cheap to replace. |

| Lowrance H2Oc. Great machine, color to boot. Regardless of brand get the Navionics Gold for the Gulf. Yes, I know, it costs as much as the hand held. I got my H2Oc at Cabela's for $135. Got a discount for 1st time joining Cabela's websiter, for starting an account and one they were handing out at the door that night. |
