Turned in at the stables just south of Bob Hall and there was very little room to drive with the high water, old dead weed and families on the beach. Turned around and took the highway down to the North Sticks. Found a spot that looked to have minimal weed in the water and threw out some shrimp/fihbites. Lines weeded up after about 10 or 15 minutes. Tried again and caught a big whiting. That was it for the afternoon(1-3:30pm). There was not a lot of weed but it really cut down the fun factor so I just played in the sand with my son. The only things being caught around me were several large weed fish. One guy was almost falling over setting the hook. He looked a little disappointed when the weed ball hit the shore. I did not see any mullet in the water but it was clear enough to see several whiting riding in on the waves.
