| vaires year to year, but 68 top 70 degrees seems to be the magic number. I know we're getting close. I signed up a fan of Bob Hall Pier on Facebook, and since I have FB on my phone, I get the hourly temp/wind/surf report from BH Pier automatically on my phone. Very cool stuff. |

Joe Doggett at the Houston Chronicle use to always say 70 for the warm season. My azalea is starting to bloom so it won't be long. _________________ Like Corpusfishing.com on Facebook! |

I just signed up for BHP on Facebook as well. Pretty cool. The water temp has been rising every day. Interesting to see what it is by Sunday considering the much warmer weather we are having and the projected forecast. Saturday and Sunday could be a really good days out there. _________________

The Trout are stacked up just behind the Island and waiting. They are all the way to %$*&@#)bridge, just not ready to move out yet. We have caught well over 40 keepers since last Friday( and we DO NOT use boats!!!!!!!). The Redfish have already moved out and are nice and slot worthy......

P.S. If you need to know when the Trout will be in the surf...wait until you see a mullet....... _________________ " Good God, somebody get me a nurse " |

| I wonder if BHP is ever going to get their web cam set back up and running. It sure would be nice to be able to see what the water color is before driving all the way out to the Island. The County needs to start trying to get the surf people to put another one up like before IKE. Maybe a new Commish can get some of these needed things done. |

| You could move to Flour Bluff(for the fishing and school)like I did 29 yrs ago, then you wouldn't have that 430 mi drive to do what you love to do. |

Every day for the last 22 years I've kicked myself for leaving CC. I've got a nice little creek with big bass in it 200 yds out the back door to help ease the pain. |

I'm thinking the trout fishing may be a little slow in the surf in the corpus area due to the red tide fish kill last fall...heard there were lots of big dead trout on mustang island...hope I am wrong.

From what I saw yesterday, right now. Made my rounds late yesterday and saw two very nice stringers come from the Packery Channel. The guys were freelining live shrimp...About time for the tiderunners.
March and April are the months we normally see the tiderunners come from the jetty. I really think the water temps are real close to being right all we need is the shrimp to start moving out.
