I headed out this morning to get a better feel for the Kayak and am becoming alot more comfortable. I docked off at Laguna Shores and covered alot of water today for about three hours. I fished with 3" New Penny Shrimp on a popping cork, I threw out a couple of different Mirrolures, Fish Bites and Nada. The weather was great though I had good practice out there today even though I got skunked. I want to dock off at Dimitt Pier and try out some evening fishing sometime here soon and try the Honey Hole.

(I did notice that Live Shrimp is available though. I saw the Flags Flying)

Here are a few pics of the great weather... Very Happy

Assuming you were paddling in your Kayak (the whole time LOL) for these pictures, I would say you covered a bunch of ground. Keep the reports coming. Very Happy Very Happy Thanks!

Get the extension for your scotty rod holder. definetly worth the 20 bucks. The wind picked up ugly this afternoon.

i was over in that area this afternoon but the wind was blowing about 50 miles an hour, or so it seemed. I managed to catch one dink on a jerk jr. with a red tail. The wind was just brutal so i gave up. Confused

What do you think of the Tarpon so far?

I've been out in some windy days, and so far I haven't felt a need for a rudder. And on calm days like that its been pretty fast, glides very well.
