| I had a huffy version of the Evil Knievel bike back in the 70's. That thing was SUPPOSED to help you fly high and jump far. All it did for me was keep me black and blue with casts, band aids, and scars all over. I remember lining up bricks in a long line like busses. I took flight at full speed and barely hit the last brick. The darn brick flew in the air hot on my trail striking me in the head and almost knocking me cold. |

LOL at Wallhanger. I plowed straight into a fence at the end of Buggywhip street on my "mini" bike. I still don't know how it happened, but I can say this...If you are heading into a fence at 20+mph, DO NOT put your arm out.
And try not to do a power slide in the driveway while it is raining.
later,

Yeah, I remember "Super Dave!" Always loved him....
Have always loved Evel Knievel, especially reminiscing years later with the cable biographies about him. The poor man was ripped off finanicially by his "backers" ....Sad...sad...sad....
As a kid I used to make bike jumps and forever -- not to mention quickly -- learned what a set of nads and tailbone was -- this side of skateboarding! ....Today, I ride a mountain-bike that has the "v" bar to protect Momma's future Grand-children! (Laugh all you want, but why did boys' bikes have a straight bar?) |

I would guess to keep us from trying all of those stunts more than once. Lesson learned.
Cool bike Bluff Rat. At first glance, I thought it was a real mini moto. |

haha, pretty cool. I'll take one too. Put a cooler on the back and a pair of rod holders on the front and I'll rock that bad boy at packery. _________________ ...if my boss ever finds this forum I'll be unemployed... |
