Hit all the same places and caught nothing, my boat was a magnet for other boats, everywhere I went within minutes 2 or 3 boats with chatty people onboard |

I hit up Humble Channel last night and the Oso Bay turnaround for about 3 hours on fresh mullet and no action in these areas... _________________ "Do not call my Jeep a Car ever again " |

Amazing how that place holds all those trout year after year that are just under the limit size! You'd think they would eventually grow up! |

I feel for you folks who must fish the weekend throngs............... I'm self employed and DON'T have to deal with that! Of course I get no paid vacation, and I may never be able to officially retire but hey, what's that worth to me? Not as much as having free time WHEN I want it! _________________ Dave

That wasn't necessarily my point. I have the luxury of almost never going hunting or fishing on the weekends, so I have to deal with less of the weekend warrior BS than your average 9-5, employed by someone else, working stiff.
If someone CHOOSES to go out then and put up with the crap, just as they choose to sit in rush hour traffic twice a day for their whole working life, more power to them. _________________ Dave

I hear ya LB, weekends bite, but its better then nada. The bonus of living/working on the coast...I work/attend class/do reserach 9-5 but.... I fish 6-9am and 5pm-8!!! No mater what you do, just gotta work the rod and reel into your lifestyle one way or another. As long as you get out and get your line wet one way or another, you are LIVING THE DREAM. _________________ ...if my boss ever finds this forum I'll be unemployed... |

Me too! That other stuff just puts negative thoughts in my head about why I am or am not catching fish. |

Dude, I e-mailed CCbobber a while back and told him that he did such a great job of organizing that last offshore trip that I was ready to do it again, and I even added that I wouldn't mind him adding a little to each fee for his TIME and the headaches......................................
Never heard anything back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't blame you Robert, I know that it had to be a PITA!
One way or another I'll be down by late winter or early spring to hopefully still get in on the sow trout and pomp bit! _________________ Dave
