| Left the house at 5:30 am, was to p/u my nephew and his boat and head out to the Baffin Bay area. He parked the boat too far in his back yard so my truck got stuck. Took us 30 minutes to pull truck and boat out of the mud. I thought "what a way to start the day" After numerous stops, gas, bait , tacos, we finally get to Bird Island about 8:00. The fog was pretty bad so it took us longer than usual to get to our fishing spot around marker 201. Fished with live shrimp and hooked into some really nice drum. Caught 8 drum, all between 25" and 28", also caught and released 3 oversize drum. My nephew caught one trout on a plastic minnow, the trout was about 24". Left them biting because the fog started coming back in about 2:30. Overall not a bad day, but then I"ve never had a bad day fishing. |

I drove 400 miles today for a 1 hour meeting with my boss, could of traded that for a hardhead. LOL  |
