There are nice trout south of Pita Island on the King Ranch shoreline. Caught trout 16-21" on 5" Bass Assassin sea shads - strawberry/white on 1/8 oz jigheads Sunday afternoon. Drifted deep grass/sand pockets 250-300 yards off the shore on an east wind. Watch out for drum lines. The bite started a little late (4:30 or so). Nice, fat fish and the water is in great shape there. _________________ Royal and Ancient Rod, Gun, Lager and Liar Society

| In upper lavaca bay the trout bite is pretty hot right now, mostly smaller ones with some mixed 15-20. They are hitting clear strawberry shrimp tails with glitter under a popping cork. My brother has been the last three days and caught limits the first two days and eight today. He said he caught well over 60 fish each day. |
