Nice buck. Is he a 14pt? I could not tell for sure, and is that dog snaps I see for hog dogs? lol

lol carlb, bait was Remington 25-06
He had 17 scorable points, There is three or four kickers by the base of the horns, and yes that is snaps for hog dogs but no dogs were harmed in the killing of this animal. Cool

He has been hard core on hog hunting for at least 15 years or more, I could not get in to it that much but still enjoy going every once in a while. Shane, go to http://www.circle-s-feed.com/ and check out the site if you hunt around here. They made a typo on his entry and listed it as a 12 point but he is leading the small ranch division.

thats a nice deer. on the ranch i worked at we would see them like that all the time, but noone hunts there.

Vern I hunt all around from Seguin to Victoria and Corpus and south mainly just for hogs. I hunted and placed 3rd last year in the Circle S feed contest with a 250 pound hog last year. I am not hunting in it this year. Figgured I would give the hogs a rest this winter since I hunt fulltime during the summer and go fishing and rodeo more.
