Took my brother from New Mexico and one of our friends fishing yesterday. Normally we have not had much success when my brother comes down to visit, but with the warm weather yesterday was different. We fished a couple of spots before we located a school of redfish. We caught and landed on red then the action picked up, first Scott hooked up with red, then my brother and then I hooked into one. It looked like a crazy square dance with all three of us circling the boat and ducking under lines. Finally got all three fish in the boat and the lines back out. After landing a couple more reds we all three hooked up at the same time again. What a blast!!!!
We managed to end up with a limit for each of us and two oversized reds. This was one of the best fishing days I have had. Especially since I was able to share it with my brother and a good friend. _________________ When it's all said and done,

I do that all the time in my fantasies. Nice going and especially with your brother and friend with you. That makes it a lot better. _________________ Fishing and Kayaking its a rough life but somebody has to do it.

We were fishing near Dagger Island. My brother and I were using live shrimp under an alameda cork. Even though I have tried to break him of it, my friend insisted on using artificals. He was throwing a gold spoon. One of these days I am going to teach him to "match the hatch" and use whatever they are feeding on, but I fear he has fallen in love with all the many colors and soft plastics. Friday, I believe anything that you had in your tackle box would have worked. It was a large school of reds and with all the competition anything that moved was getting attacked. _________________ When it's all said and done,

Congrat's to yall! Well Done, It's it great when it all comes together for you.
I'm like your friend, I like to throw artificals when ever possible. But when Yak fishing the surf I fish crabs and cut mullet in the winter time.
Tight lines and bigger fish for 2006.
