It's been a long time since we've got to fish on PINS. So Monday,Chris andIheaded down before the kids got home from school. We grabbed a cast net, bait bucket and a few rods and went 4 miles down (don't laugh...we didn't have much time). We managed to get 4 finger mullet with our cast net and with them we caught 1 oversized red, 1 slot red and 3 keeper trout (we recycled a mullet if your trying to do the math). If you look close at my red, you can see it's been hooked before, it's got two hooks in it's mouth. And for the record no fish were injured and all were released. It was the funnest hour of fishing I've ever done. Oz was right...Fall is fun!

Sounds like yall had a great time, too bad you didnt catch 15 or 20 mullet, that would have been at least 30 fish...lol. The biggest trout I have ever caught (27") I know that is not a monster...just a personal best, was caught on a mangled piece of twice frozen cut mullet while wade fishing. Congrats!!!

wow how it changed the next day! i was there sunday around the same area (2mm) and never saw one red. thanks for the report Cool
