I took my wife & daughter to the beach today to just sit and read and of course fish. My daughter wanted to catch her own fish, so I figure whiting would be a good place to start. Stopped by the Cosway and picked up my first ever fishbites. Needless to say I am hooked on those now. We went to the Mustang Island park and parked near the fish pass jetties. After catching numerous whiting, my daughter and I went out down to the jetties. I still had mt little rod and waded out to mid thigh between the jetties and started fishing. Caught two small snook close to the rocks, about 16" or so and quickly released them The first one I hooked reeling the fishbite back in. I guess it looked like a little spoon.

I did see a few folks catching some reds. It was a nice cool day after the rain. I also had a small turtle litterally bump into me. That will get your attention.

Fishbites work great!!

were you the guy with the cigar in his mouth fishing the surf. i was up on the rocks but didn't have much luck, but others did before 12 and after that was nothing but spanish macs

You just never know what you will have "Hooked Up" on the "Bites."
