Well I just got back from visiting Guth Park. It looks like something in the runoff from the rain has killed all of the fish in the pond there. There are perch, shad, carp and catfish all on the bank. I got in touch with TNRCC, the city and Channel 6. I hope someone can find out who dumped what in the storm system. Of course now that the pond is full, the excess is going into the creek and out to the Nueces river. Hopefully whatever the contaminant is will be diluted and not kill any of the fish in the bay. If anyone sees any dead fish in the Nueces bay/river make sure and let someone know.
