|
|
For the Breakaway 10-6, which ABU 6500 is best?
6500CS?
6500 CS Pro Rocket?
6500 Mag Elite?
6500C3
Why is the 6500C3 so much cheaper than the rest? Can I put the Smoothie Drag Washers in all of these reels?
Thanks! |

6500 CSM Mag Elite. Load reel with 15# Suffix Tritanium with a tapered shock leader. It is a great combo for lures FishBites and Finger Mullet. It's what I use. _________________ Ahh sand between my toes! |

Where do you suggest I buy one from? |

Thanks again Larry! Your suggestions carry a lot of weight.
I am somewhat nervous of buying something that is not in production anymore because of needing parts and such later. Do you think this will be a problem?
What would be the next best 6500 to the CS Mag Elite?
Thanks again! |

Unless you want the exact same color handle. I know as I busted the handle of my 6500 Mag Elite CS in Baja. Any 6500 handle will fit but they won't be the dark metallic green. I just added a generic chrome power handle.
The bearings and worm gear and pawl are readily available. I have not busted anything else on mine but I would not worry.

I am saving my money to buy a 10-6 breakaway blank to wrap.
Should I go ahead and use that money to buy that reel on EBAY for 100.00?
Thanks for you input Tyler. |

Didn't get it!
I almost got it but I hate making sudden decisions. I'll be able to get that blank by the end of the month, then I can start to save for for my reel. I will probably get one of those 6500's from hatteras jacks or hatteras outfitters that are common on the east coast. I lay awake at dreaming of casting a big surf plug in a calm green surf sometimes.
That real on Ebay sure looked good. Even my wife almost convinced me to get it.
Thanks anyway for your input! |

You should try a pawn shop. My mother bought one of the C3 for 28 bucks last week and it came with a rod. Me, I never have that much luck when I look, maybe you will.
