Made a trip to SPI Friday night to visit with some friends and see SPI as I had never been there. Bike week was going on so we saw some nice bikes riding the beach. Friday my buddies got there and set up camp as I was driving in after work. Around 9pm they called to see where we were an said they had caught a 4'blacktip and had a couple of runs but no hook ups. Once we arrived we all went to bed an got up to find a clear calm surf with no weed. We caught some bait and yaked out a couple of poles before my 4/0 got a hit. Hooked up and brought in a nice Jack. A couple of the other poles were hit also but no hook ups. We brought them in and ran them back out with the jack as bait and fished untill 4 with not more luck. The weed picked up as the day progressed but the water stayed clear and green.
