Fished the north Saturday 4/16.Water was murky, rough, and full of weed on the surf side.East wind was howling but managed a few trout around 18" and lots of whiting all on shrimp and fishbites.[Yes a trout will hit fishbites]After removing about a ton of seaweed we switched to the channel side and found some large sheepshead freelining live shrimp. The trout are there but with the wind the way it was we only landed a couple on the channel side.
We did get to see a boat wash up on the end of the south jetty. Not sure what happened but the coast guard lifted them out with a helicopter.Man those guys are good.Anybody hear more about this, I did not get to watch the news that night and forgot to grab a paper before I left Sunday.
