Guys,
I will be coming down for a little fishing this weekend. I plan to attack the trout over sand and grass, then maybe some reds.
I was curious to know if the Sheepies are still biting good? Bull Reds?
I will probably try them anyway, but just wanted to know what to expect. If ya'll see a white 4 door GMC duramax with ranch hand bumpers and a duck head sticker on the back window, say hi!
I will be towing a 18' Kenner, too.
Anyone know local know what the weather forecast is for Sat. and Sun.? |

GC,
That is the same website I use, but just wanted to make sure. Looks like I will be seeking protected water for trout and reds this weekend.
Where is the best place to launch to fish Copano?
Thanks in advance for any replies. |

Copano and St CHuck were totally screwed this past weekend. I fished the POC kayak tourney at Cavasso Creek (upper StCharles Bay). It was really fresh but was holding fish. I slammed with 1 red, 2 trout, and 2 flounder on Wed. Then the front blew all the water out on Friday. It was awful on Sat.
I would be looking closer to PortA and AP. The winds don't look too bad. I would fish the areas around Hog Island, Ransom, and Steadman's. The backside of StJoe should produce too.
oh... to answer your question.. Port Bay on FM188, copano causeway ramp (southwest side of bridge) and Goose Isalnd State Park _________________ GoinCoastal aka Cap'nSherbet |

GC,
Thanks again for your reply. I have heard some good reports about the south shoreline in Copano from this week. Lots of Reds coming from the shoreline grass on plastics and shrimp.
I was thinking Hog Island and some of the deeper holes on Estes might produce some good reds.
Thanks again. |
