| Beach reports indicate a lot of flat tires on PINS over the weekend. There is wood with nails in it--plywood, 2x4s, small pieces with nails etc, probably remains from the destruction of hurricane Charlie. "Any wood on the hard pack may contain nails" There could be more on the way after Frances and now Ivan. If you do go make sure to check your tires frequently, take several cans of FIX A FLAT, a tire plug kit and a good air compressor just in case. |

| Had Packard's remove a nail last Friday. Looked to me like most of the nails I saw yesterday were sticking out of short pieces of wood with odd, but familiar, dimensions. Looked closer at several while fishing, and even brought back one piece for a friend. It's almost all Phillipine mahogany. My diagnosis is that the majority is shoring used to secure cargoes from the Far East. It gets real thick sometimes. Another friend used to boast that he was the only guy in Texas with mahogany deer blinds. |

| Saw the Dodge with all four tires off-thought that was real odd. Sorry for them-not an every day sight on the beach. At least they had some shade. |

Tide magezine has a good article about debris and trash on the coast this month. _________________ "If you love something let it go.If it comes back to you gaff it and throw it in the icechest."
