| Beautiful day Sunday so after lunch headed out to soak some bait. Used live shrimp and Fishbites. Tried first along the Pure Oil Channel but got zip. No action of any kind, under a bobber nor on the bottom. Moved to the ICW near its intersection with Pure Oil Channel. Tried using a bobber first at varying depths, but nothing biting. Put shimp and Fishbit combo on the bottom and at least got to feed the dinks. Then at 4 pm, bell must have rung because in a thirty minute period, caugt three black drum, one spotted trout, one whiting, and a perch. Had three bites that bent my rod, but couldn't land or see. Released all,and went home relaxed and happy. |

Did the tide or current move when you got the black drum? Thanks for the report. I was hoping to go over there on Friday but got sick.

| Sorry Tyler. If I was a better salt water fisherman I would know the answer. Can't tell you what happened, but it sure turned on for some reason. |
